Who runs Good Floof

Good Floof is a small, independent website at goodfloof.com. We run it from British Columbia, Canada. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Good Floof. "You" means anyone who uses the site.

Using this site

By using goodfloof.com, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

You can read Good Floof for free, and you don't need an account. Please don't use the site in a way that harms it or other readers. That includes trying to break in, overload it or copy it with automated tools.

General information only

Everything on Good Floof is general information about pet gear and pet care. Our advice is for pets in general, so parts of it may not suit your pet. Your pet's age, health, build and temper all matter, and we can't see any of them.

We don't test products. Our guides draw on brand size charts and product details, owner reports and advice from vets and welfare groups. How we judge explains the method.

Not vet advice

Nothing here is veterinary advice, and nothing here replaces a visit to your vet. Our care guides cover routine jobs only.

If your pet seems unwell, hurt or in pain, call your vet. Do the same if your pet's eating, drinking, breathing or toilet habits change. In an emergency, go to an emergency vet clinic straight away.

Always follow the brand's own instructions for fitting and using a product. Watch your pet the first few times it wears or uses something new. Stop if it seems to rub, pinch or scare your pet.

Sizes and the Fit Finder

Our sizing tool, the Fit Finder, compares the numbers you enter with each brand's own size chart. The "your pet's size" boxes in our guides and reviews use the same tool. For crates, carriers and litter boxes, it also adds some room so your pet can turn around.

We copy each chart with care and do our best to keep the Fit Finder accurate. Even so, we can't promise that a size it suggests will fit your pet.

If a measurement is wrong, the size it suggests may be wrong too. A tape held loosely, or a pet that won't stand still, can throw a measurement off.

Brands change their charts, and one product can use different charts for different colors or styles. So treat any size we show as a starting point. Before you buy, measure your pet again and check the size chart on the product page. When your pet sits between two sizes, follow the brand's advice for that product.

Pictures on this site

The pets in our cover photos aren't real pets, and the gear they wear is a plain, made-up design. It isn't the product we review or recommend.

Our product drawings are simple sketches of that kind of product, not pictures of the real one. To see what you'd actually get, look at the photos and details on the product page.

Accuracy

We check our facts with care, and we fix mistakes when we find them. Still, we can't promise that every detail on the site is right, complete or up to date. Brands change their products, materials and instructions, often without notice.

If you find something wrong, please email us. We'll look into it.

Buying products

We don't make or sell anything. When you buy a product through one of our links, you buy it from Amazon or from a seller on Amazon. Their terms cover the sale, returns and any warranty.

We don't print prices, because they change often. Check the current price and details on the product page before you buy.

Our content

The writing, scores, size records and design on Good Floof belong to us. You're welcome to share a link to any page. Please don't copy or republish our articles or size data without asking first.

Product names, brand names and logos belong to their owners. We use them only to say which product we mean. Their use here doesn't mean any brand, or Amazon, backs Good Floof.

Links to other sites

We link to stores, vets, welfare groups and other sources. We don't control those sites, and we're not responsible for what they say or do. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave Good Floof.

Liability

We offer Good Floof as it is, for free. We can't promise the site will always work, or that it will be free of errors.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or harm from your use of Good Floof. That includes loss from a product you buy after reading about it here. The maker and the seller remain responsible for their products.

Consumer law where you live may give you rights that no website can take away. In British Columbia, one such law is the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Nothing here limits any liability that the law says we can't limit.

If a court decides that part of these terms can't apply, the rest still applies.

Governing law

The laws of British Columbia apply to these terms. So do the federal laws of Canada that apply in British Columbia. The courts of British Columbia can hear any dispute about these terms or the site.

Many of our readers live outside Canada. If the law where you live gives you extra protection, you keep it. You also keep any right to bring a claim in your own country's courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the date at the top. If you keep using the site after that, the new terms apply.
